This treatment may not be suitable for all skin types, and clients are required to undergo a complimentary consultation prior to treatment to determine suitability. During this consultation, your therapist will develop a customized preparation plan based on your skin type. Following this preparation plan diligently is crucial for achieving optimal results from your Skin Microneedling treatment.
Two weeks before your treatment:
– Refrain from Laser Hair Removal, waxing, depilatory creams, and IPL treatments on the face
– Avoid Cosmetic Grade Peels
– Avoid Cosmetic Injectables
– Minimize sun exposure and always wear SPF
One week before your treatment:
– Avoid using exfoliators, acids, or any products containing retinol or vitamin A.
Any redness and irritation typically subside within 3-4 hours following the treatment. During the first 48 hours, it’s important to avoid excessive sun exposure, hot showers, saunas, and strenuous exercise.
For the next 24-48 hours, refrain from swimming or engaging in strenuous exercises.
Follow proper aftercare guidelines, which include using gentle hydrating products such as the Institut™ Gentle Cleanser, Normal Moisturiser, and Rejuvenate 15 serum (which contains copper peptides to aid in wound healing).
Avoid using active or exfoliating products for the next 5-7 days following the treatment, and resist the urge to pull or pick at any loose skin.
For optimal results, we recommend a comprehensive course of 4-6 Skin Microneedling treatments, with each session spaced one month apart.
